My journey to Ukraine was profoundly impactful. Tasked with documenting the efforts of a nonprofit rescuing animals from the perils of war, I found myself amidst the tumultuous backdrop of conflict. The experience was nothing short of surreal, with bombs descending from above and air raid sirens piercing the air. Amidst the chaos, I bore witness to the stark realities of both mortality and the resilience of life. This extended stay in Ukraine left an enduring imprint on my consciousness, catalyzing a profound shift in my perspective and understanding of the human condition.
